Q: What is the factory speaker setup for a 1970 Dodge Charger?
Speaker locations, sizes, etc...
A: The center of the dash would have a 4x10 speaker if it has one.
If the car has the small speakers at the outer ends of the dash they would be 3.5 inch speakers. But not all 3.5 speakers will fit, some are too deep.
The rear speakers are 5x7 inches

[basically i need a lot of front end parts] and a new hood. i just can't seem to find any of them. does anyone know where i can find these parts? thanks

Q: 1970 dodge charger torsion bar removal?
ive got a 1970 charger and i have no idea how to remove the torsion bars. my 68 camaro friend and also my 57 bel air buddy have no idea how the torsion bars work. as well, i am new to them also. i am totally clueless as to how these come out. i am doing a whole rebuild and such, and i need them to come out.. but how?? i would GREATLY appreciate a step-by-step procedure on how they come out. i rip out my hair evertytime i get under the car and try to figure out how they freakin come out =/ i feel very stupid, becuase i have read somewhere that its an easy thing to do or something. but i'd really appreciate it. thanks alot everyone.
A: Simple. Look for a cotter pin at the very end of the torsion bar support. Remove the cotter pin. You may have to loosen the tension first. To do this, back off the tensioner at the rear of the bars. Once the tensioners are loosened off and the pins removed, the bars will come out. When installing them, install them with the grove in the end of the bars horizontal. NOTE;
After you install the bars and tighten the adjuster back to the right height with the lower control arms vertical, You may have to readjust them the next day. They have a tendency to raise overnight by them selves. Oh, and one other thing. Don't nick or scratch the bars with hammers or wrenches. They will start to crack at these places and break. But you can hammer them on the ends.
Q: in your opinion which is better...the 1969 dodge charger or the 1970 dodge charger?
i personally LIKE the '69 better...performance wise their mainly the same...but whats r ur opinons?
A: hmmm....sounds like you are a dukes of hazzard fan? Originally what was used was the 1969. However, only about 400 '69's were ever made worldwide. So good luck finding one. There were over 740 different cars used in the series ( due to wrecks). Years were 1969, - '74. I used to own a '69 however - it took me over 10 years of looking up junk yards all over the country to find a '69. A few years ago, I had to get rid of it before I fully restored it.
To answer your question performance was orignally the same. But now, chances of find any year '69 - '74 that still runs and in original condition is slim to none. You will end up having to restore it. Possibly customizing it to your own specs.
Q: Does anyone know how much gas mileage a 1970 Dodge Charger gets?!?!?
thx 4 all the help u can get
A: As has been pointed out, it depends on the engine, not to mention gearing.
Standard were the 318 and the Slant 6. The former should average about 16-17, I reckon. The Slant 6 should reach the 20s on the highway if you're lucky, but it's a heavy car with a small engine needing all it has to push it.
The 383-2 is really not much worse off than the 318, but has a lot more torque. I think averaging 15-16 would make sense. With a 4bbl. you could expect 13-14, maybe less.
The hi-po engines - the 440-4, 440-6, and Hemi - will impact mileage due to the high performance nature of the cars, if not the gearing. The 440-4 can probably run as efficiently as a 383-4, but that's with a light foot and higher gearing. Otherwise, I would expect to average 12. With the Six Pack, I think you'd be lucky to average the same. And I know an old Consumer Guide test that got 6mpg with the Hemi, although that's probably an extreme - it's probably an 8-12 mpg car.
Q: my 1970 dodge charger build up?
i bought my 70 project charger a little over a month ago, and its like a roller coaster. i had a regular daily driver honda that my girlfriend loved and i told her i wanted a charger cuz its always been my dream car since my dad had a 69 and she's a muscle car girl, and she said it'd be cool. so i got it, and 2 weeks after i got the project, she wound up leaving me after our 2 year wonderful relationship because "i didnt see her as much anymore and it wasnt worth it" total bs.on top of that, turns out she was cheating during our final times together, now, i love the car,and her still, but its such a huge project. the roof was so rusty and it had to be cut out, the frame rails are gone since it was a horrible east coast car. life has changed dramatically for me since i got it. i LOVE the car, but i cant afford it anymore. i tried selling it, but its "too far gone" and i cant buy a new car. she decided to come back to me cuz i told her i was selling it, but im so confused! what do i do?=(
A: Gert rid of the car get a new girl and buy another car.
Q: I'm looking for either a 1968, 1969, or 1970 Dodge Charger for hopefully less than 8,000, and within the U.S.
It can be an R/T, a 500, a R/T SE, any of them. I'm in college and want this as my life long project car, that I can start working on now between classes, I can't afford much more than 8,000, but would love to have these wheels!!. I check eBay everyday, but please help accomplish my dream ride!
A: When you find one and it's ready... call me.
Wait even if it's not ready... a car that sexy would be worth it, done or not.
