Q: cost of painting my 1961 ford falcon?
its white at the moment but its very dull. is there something i can do to it to make the paint shinier? or if i deside to repaint it altogether (maybe turquoise) how much would that cost?

A: What's your intentions with the car? If you want to drive it, take it to ONE DAY or MACCO for a $400 paint job. I would recommend an antique white over the wimbleton white. It's a little brighter but not a stark white. Changing the car color will involve door jambs, trunk, engine area as well -- it'll take a bit more to get it painted correctly.

Q: how do i improve/restore my 1961 ford falcon?
obviously it an old car so its always going to have some problems (eg.not starting in cold weather) but is there anything i can do to improve the engine. and how much would it cost if i were to replace or rebuild the engine? i would like to be able to drive it all year round and not watch it collect dust in winter because it is too cold

A: Surely if Make-A-Wish contacts them directly they should at least respond. It may be as simple as a scheduling conflict. Review all of the programs that do makeovers on vehicles and and have an official of MAW contact them. Also, get in contact with your local radio stations and see if they would start an email campaign in your behalf. MAW is a powerful organization and shoudl be able to get something done. There are too many car builders out there who could use the publicity and the tax write off.

A: I am from australia so i dont know who chip foose is...i know who xzibit is tho! What a pair of weak. uncharitable tossers! I can imagine how many requests people in their postion get and i understand they cant reply to them all. But if u are gunna pimp out a car for a 20yo with pimples on his face and has never been laid....surely they can help out a kid that would get more out of it than anyone could realise. I worked with disabled kids for 4 years and it is amazing how the little things that most take for granted mean so much to the disabled. To say that the would go bankrupt is a load of donkey shit!!! and of course what great publicity it would be for their shows....pimp his ride!!!!!
