These prices are average. It still depends on if the owner has modified the car in anyway. It should be more if there is a rebuilt transmission or engine. It all depends. I would say he's asking too much though.

Hi I have a 1968 XT FALCON SEDAN. During rebuild my VIN PLATE has been miss placed, how do i get information on what options my ford come out with. I have the vin number but the Vin plate is missing. The car is registered in my name, and i have tryed ford customer service but they could not help mePLEASE HELP
A: Try looking at your registration card. You are going to have to get that plate replaced by the way. Your vehicle will probably have to go to DVL for an inspection, and a certification of VIN will be issued for attachment to the vehicle. I am not sure what year they started, but vehicles now have hidden VIN plates for police verification of vehicles. What kind of repair did you do that you removed the VIN plate to start with? You are going to need a good explanation for such a suspicious action when you go to the DVL, because those plates aren't legally removable. You are going to have to prove it isn't an attempt to cover a stolen vehicle, or get an unsalvageable write-off back on the road.
