Q: how many 1967 Pontiac Firebird Sprint Six convertibles were built?
A: I don't know, but will offer a guess. There were about 82,560 firebirds made in 67. Of these, 15,528 were convertibles, or about 19%. 17,664 were 6 cyl, total, including the base 6 and the 4bbl sprint or 21%. So just assuming 21% of convertibles were 6 cyl, that would make 3,709 convertible 6's.
The sprint package was a high compression version of the OHC 6, with a 4bbl with 215HP. The weird thing was it was a more expensive package than the 250HP 326 V8, so I would guess there wasn't that many that opted for it. If it was 10% of 6 cyl cars that ordered the sprint package, that would mean the sprint convertibles may have been a total of about 370
Q: What is market value of 1967 Pontiac Firebird 6 cyl Sprint in fair, but running, condition?
A: Based on the few adds I could find for cars in similar shape, you'd be looking at getting $4,000 - $6,000 out of it -- maybe as much as 10K. If it was in cherry condition you'd be looking at $20,000+
Q: 1967 Pontiac Firebird will not restart hot.?
I have a 67 Firebird 400. It runs great BUT, when it runs for a bit and reaches operating temperature and then you shut it off and attempt to resstart after it sits for a minute, it will not re-start. There is no fuel and appears to be vapour locked. After it cools down, its starts and drives away. The car seems to run fine until you attempt to re-start it after its sat warm... Any ideas ??
A: carb may be dirty and heqads may have carbon deposits.
